Our Pink Shirt Day winners!

Student Experience – Dianna Bluck, Liz Morris, Brigette Shutkowski, Deb Crossan

Pink Shirt Day 2018, a chance to rally together against bullying, was a great success. Staff and students from across campuses donned their pink gear and demonstrated their commitment to Ngakau Mahaki: respecting and valuing all perspectives, and embracing diversity.

Student activities were held across both campuses with a free sausage sizzle for students wearing pink, ‘stand up for campus safety’ branding and messaging, and a feeling of solidarity and support. Well done to our Student Experience team and USC for putting the events together.

The photos rolled in of our teams wearing pink and it was a tough job for the judges but there can only be one winner of the $50.00 morning tea for the best-dressed team…. so congratulations to FACILITIES MANAGEMENT!

The judges were impressed with the coordination of their costumes, the baking, and the ‘No bullies here’ sign.

Thank you to all the teams who showed their support and wore pink!
