Mark McNeill appointed Dean of Construction, Infrastructure and Engineering

 

Mark McNeill_UnitecCongratulations to Mark McNeill who has been appointed the new Dean of Construction, Infrastructure and Engineering, a role he has been covering since November last year. Prior to this, Mark was Head of Practice Pathway – Computing in the High Technology Network.

Mark has a wealth of experience in the tertiary sector including monitoring academic quality, building team self-assessment capability, portfolio development and leading diverse multi-disciplinary teams.

Originally from the UK University sector, he is a postgraduate of Liverpool Medical School and completed his teacher training at the UCE Birmingham.

Having spent a number of years at the Universal College of Learning in the Manawatu, he joined Unitec in 2001 heading our Medical Imaging portfolio and shortly after was appointed Associate Head of School – Health Sciences.

Later he held roles at Manukau Institute of Technology as Head of School – Computing & IT and at the Western Institute of Technology at Taranaki heading their Faculty of Technology.

On returning to Unitec in 2011 he co-led Te Kura Whānui and was Deputy Dean – Social and Health Sciences until May 2016.
