Kaimahi Volunteer Day is an opportunity to help people or the environment while connecting with colleagues from across Unitec and MIT. Dates in November have now been confirmed for kaimahi across both divisions to sign up and help out.
Four dates are now available for Unitec/MIT kaimahi to volunteer.
Run through Volunteering Auckland, Unitec/MIT Kaimahi Volunteer Day has been initiated as a result of feedback from Your Whakaaro says Julie Prentice, Director of Pathways and External Engagement, Tamaki.
“MIT kaimahi want to get to know their colleagues at Unitec better and Unitec kaimahi want to do the same, so this is an opportunity to do that while making a difference to the whenua and the lives of tangata in Tāmaki Makaurau. This initiative is in direct response to feedback from kaimahi.”
Kaimahi can make their own way to the relevant location on the day or let us know if you need transport. The organising team will look at providing transport to and from Unitec (Mt Albert) or MIT (Otara) once we know confirmed numbers and travel preferences.
Please seek approval from your line manager before signing up. Below is more information with the available dates, locations and causes. Spots are limited and we would like to get an even spread of MIT and Unitec kaimahi at each activity.
