Celebrating Solomon Islands Pidgin Language Week in Aotearoa New Zealand is a vibrant opportunity to honour the rich cultural heritage and linguistic diversity of the Solomon Islands.
From November 24 to 30, this inaugural week encourages communities to engage with the theme “Protektim langguis an kalsa blong yumi” (Protect our language and culture), highlighting the importance of preserving and promoting Pacific languages.
At Unitec, the Pacific Centre, in collaboration with USC and Manaaki Scholarship Student – Miss Relmah Alopitu from the Solomon Islands, we bring to you a Bao Making Workshop.
It’s on Tuesday 26 November, 10 am -11 am (opposite Ask Me Desk), Mt Albert Campus, Building 180 – Te Puna Ako.
