The 2024 theme for Cook Islands Māori Language Week is ‘Ātui’ia au ki te vaka o tōku matakeinanga – connect me to the canoe of my tribe’
This theme derives from the overarching Language Week Series theme for 2024, ‘Sustainability’.
Let’s celebrate the 2024 Cook Islands Māori Language Week (04 -10 Aug) by participating in the ‘Ei Katu’ (floral headdress) making workshops. On Tuesday we will be in Mt Albert campus, from 12-1pm, in B180 opposite Ask Me Desk. On Wednesday, we will be in Waitakere campus, from 11am-12pm, B500 L1 Foyer. This workshop is free to participate. Resources will be provided.
