Thank you for taking part in Your whakaaro – kaimahi survey. Your whakaaro is an interim initiative across Rohe 1 providing staff with an opportunity to share their experiences and feedback. Your participation enables us to respond to the insights you have given us into our current work environment – what is working well and what we can improve on.
In analysing what you told us through the survey and further discussion with kaimahi at Tū Arotake and on campus workshops, we were able to identify priority action areas and group them under the five key themes of:
- Connection
- Facilities
- Wellbeing
- Recognition & Remuneration
- Communication
We are delighted to share with you our Action Plan for Quarter 4, 2024 and 2025. The plan commits Senior Leadership Team to deliver initiatives helping to build a positive, inclusive and responsive working environment.

We look forward to regularly communicating on our progress. Please note, we received a wide range of feedback. Priority areas have been identified based on issues raised by a high number of kaimahi. In some areas, such as carparking, we were limited in our ability to make changes due to contractual commitments in place over the period of the plan.
