Portfolio Rōpū | Programme Improvement Committee

Purpose: The Portfolio Rōpu | Programme Improvement Committee monitors and reviews all new and ongoing developments of the academic portfolio (including consideration of programme improvement applications).

The Portfolio Rōpu supports programme teams in the development of the academic portfolio.

Kaupapa: Kaitiakitanga guides the rōpu regarding developments of the Academic Portfolio. The rōpu employs the values of Mahi Kotahitanga and Ngakau Mahaki in its working processes.

Portfolio Rōpu is accountable to the Academic Approvals Committee (AAC) for its actions.

Membership:
Chair appointed from Te Korowai Kahurangi;
Additional members co-opted to contribute to the work of the rōpu.

The Chair of the Portfolio Rōpu will be appointed by the Chair AAC.

Priority Focus: To provide a peer review based process to support programme development teams and to consider programme developments on behalf of AAC, including:
a) proposals for minor changes to programmes and regulations in accordance with the Change and Improvement Procedure;
b) proposals for new programmes and major changes to programmes.

Decisions and actions of the Portfolio Rōpu shall be reported to the AAC at its next scheduled meeting.
