Last month, just before the holiday break, our Director of Pacific Success, Falaniko ‘Niko’ Tominiko, delivered a special lecture in support of Mūmū mo Samoa – a fundraiser for the Samoan measles outbreak.
Staff, family and local community came along to Niko’s lecture, A Brief History of Samoan Tragedy and Reslience, an insightful and informative presentation, and over 200 people watched the livestream. Many wore red on the day to show their support and everyone enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea following the lecture.
Niko was delighted with the response and generosity of our staff and all attendees – $1,665.00 was raised from the event! A big thank you to everyone for their donations which has gone to Project Paeds Samoa, a non-profit organisation that supports paediatric wards in Samoa.
Fa’afetai lava mo le lagolago – thank you very much for your support!
I really enjoyed your lecture Niko and it felt great to be able to support the initiative and help out in some small way. And well done to your MiniMe!
