Will Seymour, Executive Director – Operations

Will Seymour, Executive Director Operations, has resigned from Unitec and will be leaving on 31 May.

Will joined Unitec in late 2015 as the Executive Director – Transformation. In February 2017, he was appointed to the Executive Director – Operations role with overall responsibility for service operations performance, development and implementation of quality processes and outcomes, business improvement and innovation.

During his time here, Will has led the design of a robust approach to capex prioritisation and projects and built up a professional project management office for projects across transformation and core business. He’s also sponsored the development of our new enrolment portal and overseen the establishment of the enrolments team to support significant improvements in the enrolment process.

However, with the constraints on further projects and campus development for the next year or more, the significant reduction in size of the Projects team, and much of the Operational team being settled and under good leadership, Will has decided to move on to new challenges. The role will not be replaced at this stage, so the IMS, Operations, and Commercial Services teams will all have new reporting lines as follows:

  • Operations – to Glenn McKay, Tumu Tauwhirowhiro Māori and Executive Director Student Experience
  • IMS – to David Glover, Executive Director Partnerships
  • Commercial Management – to David Glover, Executive Director Partnerships
  • Facilities Management, Security, Sports Centre, Inward Goods & Transport, Sustainability and Travel Planning – to Clint Hill, GM Health & Safety
