Winter Wellbeing Reminders

Taha Tinana (Physical)
  • Taumauri – our wellbeing platform is accessible to you and up to five of your whānau and friends.  To register: visit https://tepukenga.synergyhealthltd.com/ complete the registration form using the code: education.  Your whānau and friends follow the same process to gain access.
  • Ergonomic wellbeing – Some of us may be working remotely or from home. Setup a safe workstation and adopt healthy ways to work remotely with these tips. Avoid digital eye strain or dry eyes taking regular breaks.
  • Seasonal Eating – Learn of the benefits to eating seasonally and how we can incorporate seasonal foods into your diet, as well as shopping healthy on a budget. Try this winter warmer recipe as a family friendly treat!
  • Gym sessions – come along and see what it’s like, click here to find out more details.
Taha Wairua (Spiritual)
  • Matariki Māori New Year – Embrace the new, honour the past and look forward with Matariki celebrations and events happening across the motu this July.
  • Mahi Whenua – Te Wai Unuroa o Wairaka Friday 28 July from 9am to midday.  Guided by whaea Tanya White, Kaitiaki Taiao.   Kaimahi/staff and ākonga/students, external partners and friends of Te Puna o Wairaka can spend time learning and caring for the whenua.
Taha Whānau (Family and social)
  • Waiata in Puukenga – organised by our Maia whānau on 17, 18, 24 and 25 July, from 10:30 to 11.00am.  Come join and enjoy!
  • Dry July – Health and wellbeing while supporting a good cause. Go alcohol free this July, give the body a detox and show your support to those fighting cancer. Read about Dry July and how you can contribute here.
  • Staying connected – Every Monday attend Karakia at our Marae from 8:30am with Matua Hare Paniora and others great way to start your week.

(Mental & emotional)

  • Support services – A reminder you and your family are able to access FREE and confidential support in a range of support services from EAP services as well as a range of wellbeing resources on navigating change available through Taumauri.
  • Wellbeing plans – No better time than now to create a wellbeing plan for yourself or together as a team. See our attached templates to help get you on your way to finding balance and putting strategies into place to grow your wellbeing.
